Dr. Louis L Spear was born in Olney, Maryland. He grew up in Bethesda, MD and played golf in High School and College. After high school he attended University of Maryland for college to obtain degree in Neurobiology and Physiology. Then he went to the University of Maryland Dental School located in Baltimore, MD. He then went on to do a 1 year internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at LSU New Orleans. Eventually he was accepted into the dual degree (DDS MD) UMKC Oral and Maxillofacial program and completed his residency in June 2023.
Outside of dentistry, Louis is married to his wife Emily Meyer, who is a Pediatric Dentist. He enjoys golf, reading, hiking, traveling, learning about tech, and spending time with Emily and their first born child!
